- KPO relies on its interactive website and enriched resource centre to educate the public on spinal cord injuries.
- Consistent release of information on new developments in personal hygiene, disability transport, recreation, therapy, mobility equipment among others.
- Under the research sub programe, we update data and information on paraplegics as well as go out nationally to find out unaccounted for paraplegics and their needs.
- We have liaised with the ever supportive Kenyan Media to illuminate on pertinent issues on paraplegics.
The Readathon project:This is a Reading marathon project where high school students compete in a reading competition. More over, the focus schools benefit from donation of books from individuals and companies. A point worth noting is the fact that we prefer implementing this project in schools with a high constituency of students living with disabilities; more over, we encourage books donors to ensure that 40 % of the books donated have information on disability. This is an awareness project meant to inculcate a reading culture among the students. It’s also an event where KPO gives back to the society in a special way.
